Take a Romantic Break in Paris

If you’re looking to treat a loved one to a romantic holiday in the near future then you should look no further than a trip to Paris. The French capital will serve all of your holiday needs, including eye-catching attractions, fantastic food and luxurious accommodation in any number of Paris hotels. Whether you have a keen eye for art, are always on the shopping trail or are simply searching for beautiful surroundings in which to relax, Paris is the perfect tourist destination.

Paris is well-known for its striking monuments, but there is much more to the French capital than just stunning architecture. While it’s well worth catching a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, make sure that sightseeing is not all you do in the city. That said, if world-renowned monuments are one of your main reasons for visiting the French city, then book a stay in one of the number of hotels in Paris that has a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. This tourist attraction dominates the city’s skyline and there are many hotels that are within a short walk of the incredible architectural achievement.

While the tower dominates the city’s skyline, it is from the Eiffel Tower itself that you get the best views of Paris. Whether you’re brave enough to head right to the top or are content to stop half way up, you will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views and can even identify some of the other tourist attractions that you will want to go and see.

Paris is oozing with culture and The Louvre is an example of how the French city is leading the way when it comes to showcasing art from around the world. There are more than 35,000 pieces on display for you to browse at your leisure and, of course, Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa is one of the most popular pieces within the museum.

Another Parisian cultural attraction is the Moulin Rouge. An evening of cabaret is one which you’ll never forget; whether you’re impressed by the intricate costumes or the incredible dance routines, an eventful night is all but guaranteed. The Moulin Rouge has a certain charm about it; the flamboyance will leave you thoroughly impressed it can be a real treat as part of a break in Paris.

On a trip abroad you’ll usually want to do things that you wouldn’t otherwise do at home, but with the French city’s reputation for shopping you can’t help but splash the cash in the Parisian boutiques. Many young designers have set up shops in the Marais district and if you have an eye for fashion then you’ll be treated whichever way you turn.

One of the city’s most renowned streets is the Champs Elysees. You can do a fair bit of shopping there too, while the street is the only place to be in the summer when the annual Tour de France comes to its end. The famous street really comes into its own in terms of the restaurants, though.

Paris is widely regarded as a home of culinary excellence, something illustrated by the number of Michelin-starred restaurants located in the city. The French regard themselves as gastronomic experts and it’s hard to disagree after you’ve tucked into a delicious three-course meal; food that is often a feast for your eyes as well as your stomach.

Fantastic food is not just found in top-notch restaurants; it’s something you’ll be treated to throughout your stay, whether it’s in a cheap hotel or restaurant, or one of the city’s five-star accommodations. You’ll be up bright and early, not only because you’ve got an action-packed day of attraction visiting ahead of you, but also because the breakfast is so tasty!

As a result of the top-notch food, numerous attractions and enthralling entertainment, there are few better locations for a city break than Paris. You can experience the romantic feel of the city with an evening walk along the River Seine after a candlelit dinner, while there are plenty of sights to see too. Throw in great value accommodation and a trip across the English Channel is one that you’ll remember for a long time to come.
