Plenty of top Cheap Hotels in Cannes to experience

Breathtaking and luxurious, the French town of Cannes has plenty to offer in terms of attractions and things to do; situated on the Mediterranean coastline in the south of France, Cannes is known across the world as an exclusive destination but those on a smaller budget should not be deterred either.

Cheap holidays to Cannes are easier to come across than you might think and there are hotels in Cannes to suit every visitor. An adventure holiday in Cannes is a great way to experience what the area has to offer without having to spend all of your holiday money in the extravagant shops and restaurants on the Promenade de la Croisette.

The hidden sights of Cannes can be seen on foot, with the cobbled streets of Le Suquet worth a visit and the castle ruins in the old town offer an excellent view of the city. Much of the culture and history of Cannes can be consumed at little cost, with the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Provence retracing the history of Provence, whilst the villa of Molinard is a visual and aromatic feast as the old factory is home to some of the world’s finest perfumes.

Outside of Cannes there are plenty of day trips to be enjoyed if you fancy a change of scenery and want to explore a little further afield. The historic cities of Saint Paul, Nice and Antibes are all incredibly charming and the architecture that can be found at each of the historic settlements gives visitors a real taste of traditional French buildings.

Luxurious five star accommodation contributes to the exclusive feel that Cannes has and this is reinforced by the many high-end shops and Michelin star restaurants that can be found on the Promenade de la Croisette that stretches along the Mediterranean coastline. The port is home to many extravagant yachts as well and the Cannes Film Festival sees celebrities come in to the French city in large numbers every year.

The annual Cannes Film Festival in May is a very prestigious event that sees world-renowned actors and directors visit the Cote d’Azur. Stars from the world of Hollywood enjoy the luxurious shops and restaurants that can be found in the French city and stay in some of the hotels in Cannes, including the Hotel Martinez that has its own private beach and pool. The festival is Cannes’ moment to shine and as one of the social hubs of Europe, that fortnight in May is when Cannes really comes to life.   

Cannes is a tourist destination that can act as a romantic getaway for people to relax in front of the marina and enjoy the climate and scenery of the French Riviera. The bustling nightlife and casinos offer high-end entertainment for visitors, who can also escape the city and experience the historic sites that can be found nearby.
