are closed on Sundays apart from Boulangeries (bakeries)
which generally stay open until noon.
School Holidays in France
Note: French schools still have some
of the longest school holidays in the world, attending
school for only around 160 days out of the whole year.
Summer school holidays start on July 4th 2007 and end
4th September 2007. Therefore expect all the coastal
resorts to be very busy with French family holidaymakers.
Other school holidays are staggered according to zones
as follows:
ZONE A
Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Lyon, Montpellier,
Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Rennes, Toulouse
Winter: 10 February - 26 February
Spring: 31 march - 16 April
ZONE B
Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Besançon, Dijon, Lille,
Limoges, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Poitiers, Reims,
Rouen, Strasbourg

Spring: 14 April - 2 May
ZONE C
